Return of the Mack

Hey Everyone! This is my first post since November (key Mark Morrison), seems a little longer than that. I'm not going to lie, for a while I forgot I had a blog, and then the last month I have just been putting it off. A lot has happened since November 1st but I'm not going to go into great detail about everything. I completed my first semester at Kansas State University! It was a semester to remember. I experienced so many different ups and downs, but I survived, which is pretty much the ultimate goal in life I believe. I was thinking, and I believe that If I make my blog posts shorter, I will be able to "stay on my game" and post more often. With that said, there are a few things I want to talk about in this post, starting with Finals Week.

Finals Week,Hell Week, No-life-week, whatever you want to call it, it was no fun at all. I spent most of my time during the week at Hale Library, and when I say most of my time, I mean like 15 hours a day easy. I lived off of energy drinks and coffee, which I'm sure are good for me, right? The only good thing about Finals week was that everyone else had to go through it, and that when it was over, I was going home! As I sit here and reflect back on that week in December, I think to myself, "Damn, that sucked, can't wait til May!"

Once finals were over, I was on the road home. I spent time in both Pratt and Larned over break and it was much needed. I really didn't do anything too exciting during break, just hungout with friends and ate at all of the restaurants that I miss while I'm here in Manhattan. I hope all of you had a good Christmas! I have noticed that as I get older, the point of Christmas changes so much, although I still don't mind the presents haha.We hosted the Schartz Christmas this year in Larned and it was a great time. Everyone in the family was there, including the 3 new babies. Believe it or not, I gained 3.8 pounds during the day from all of the good food, and it was fun just to hang around with all of my family. I got some good quality time in with the boys, and of course, dominated apples to apples.

As I type up this post, it is like a blizzard outside, and has been all day. I can't stand this Kansas weather much longer, (although I have too). Today when I walked to class the windchill was about -18 degrees. If you aren't sure how cold that is, your lucky. It seems like every time the snow is about to melt in Manhattan, it snows again. I'm so ready for Spring! I love the Spring season because of the weather, and it means baseball season. My favorite team, The Boston Red Sox, are primed to make a run at the World Series this year, like usual, so I'm excited to watch.

I tried to keep this post as short as I could, but 3 months is hard to cram into a short post for someone that talks too much. I will end my post with 'Knucks' as usual. My first Knucks Bro go to the Kansas State Baseball team as they are getting ready for their season, especially Levi Schlick, Dan Klein, and Thomas "Captain" Rooke. My 2nd set of 'knucks' go out to my family. Lately I have realized how big of a backbone they are for me and I couldn't ask for more from them. Last but not least, I'm giving my dog Dude 'knucks' because I miss him tons.

If you didn't like this post, I can understand. It didn't flow from my fingertips like usual. I guess that means I need to start posting more so I get back in the flow of things. I hope everyone has a wonderful week, stay warm and stay positive!
